Comparison
WhatsApp polls work in one chat. Settle works in every chat.
Settle (settle.ink) is a group decision app: create a poll, share one link, and people vote in their browser with no app or account. Friends answer Yes, Maybe or No on every option, the poll closes at your deadline, and the winner becomes a settled card and a plan.
WhatsApp polls are good at what they do. This page is about when you need a bit more.

Use a WhatsApp poll when
Everyone is in the same WhatsApp group
No link to open, nothing new to learn. A chat poll is the shortest path.
A quick yes/no
"Pizza tonight?" doesn't need a deadline or a card.
Nothing to plan afterwards
If the answer is the whole job, keep it in the chat.
Use Settle when
Your group spans apps
Some friends are on WhatsApp, some on iMessage, some only read texts. One link works for all of them.
You want a real answer
Yes, Maybe or No on every option shows what people can live with, which is usually where the plan is.
The decision turns into a plan
Date, time, place, who's coming, directions and a calendar entry in one place.
How a Settle poll works
Create the poll in the Settle app with two to six options, as text or photos, and pick a deadline. Share the link in your WhatsApp group, or anywhere else. Friends tap Yes, Maybe or No on each option in their browser. If people are slow, one tap sends a reminder to the chat. When the deadline passes, the top pick wins and Settle makes a settled card to send back to the group. See how the Settle app works.
Frequently asked questions
How is Settle different from a WhatsApp poll?
A WhatsApp poll lives inside one WhatsApp chat. A Settle poll is a link, so it works in any chat app, supports photo options, and carries on after the vote: a settled card, plan details with attendance, and a memory of what the group chose before.
Can WhatsApp polls close at a deadline?
Yes. Since WhatsApp's August 2026 update, a poll creator can set an end time that locks voting. In Settle, the organizer picks a deadline and the top pick wins when it passes.
Do my friends need the Settle app to vote?
No. Only the organizer uses the Settle app. Friends open the link and vote in any browser on iPhone, Android or a laptop, with no account or sign-up.
Can I share a Settle poll in a WhatsApp group?
Yes. Paste the Settle link into the WhatsApp group like any other link. Friends tap it and vote in their browser.
How many people can vote in a Settle poll?
Up to 10 voters per poll. Settle is made for small groups and everyday plans.
