Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Settle. By creating an account or using the app or website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Settle.

1. The service

Settle is a group decision polling tool. Creators make polls with a question and options, share a link, and their group votes to settle the decision. Voting requires no account. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Settle. Creator accounts are created through Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. You agree to provide accurate information and not to impersonate anyone else.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Settle to post unlawful, harassing, hateful, or infringing content; to spam or mislead voters; to attempt to de-anonymize voters; to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or overload the service; or to violate any applicable law. We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach these Terms.

4. Settle Pro (mobile subscription)

Creating and previewing polls is free, and voting is always free with no account. Settle Pro is an optional subscription that lets you launch and share your polls to your group, priced at $6.99 per month or $49.99 per year (prices may vary by region and store). New Settle Pro subscriptions begin with a 14-day free trial. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your payment method is charged on each renewal.

5. Cancelling Settle Pro (mobile)

This section covers Settle Pro purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. For Settle for Teams billing and cancellation, see Section 6. You can cancel anytime, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective store policies; we do not process payments or issue refunds directly.

6. Settle for Teams

Settle for Teams is our subscription for organisations, billed at $199 per month through Stripe, our payment processor. New Teams subscriptions begin with a 7-day free trial. A valid payment method is required at signup, and billing begins automatically at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends.

Each Teams subscription includes up to 25 managed decision cases per billing month. A managed decision case is counted when a decision is first sent to one or more named stakeholders; the count resets at the start of each billing period.

You can cancel at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access until then. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods. Decisions you have already created remain viewable after your subscription ends.

We may change Teams pricing on at least 30 days' notice. If we change the price, we will notify you before the change takes effect, and continuing your subscription after that date means you accept the new price.

7. Intellectual property

Settle, its name, logo, and software are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the content you create, such as poll questions, options, and photos. By posting content, you grant us a limited license to host, display, and share it as needed to operate the service, including generating shareable settled cards.

8. Disclaimers

Settle is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that poll results will be accurate for any particular purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of Settle. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above. Your continued use of Settle after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
