Do stakeholders need an account to vote?
No. Stakeholders receive a link and respond in their browser in seconds. No account, no app installation, no sign-up required.
What happens if a stakeholder doesn't respond?
Settle sends automated reminders. A missing response only matters if it prevents your chosen decision rule from being met. Under a majority rule, the decision settles as soon as more than half of the invited stakeholders approve an option — one non-responder doesn't block an otherwise clear majority. Under a unanimity rule, every invited stakeholder must respond, so an unanswered invite holds the decision open until the deadline, then escalates back to you.
What is the difference between Settled and Escalated?
Settled means your chosen decision rule was met by the deadline — for example, a majority of invited stakeholders approved an option, or under unanimity everyone approved the same one. Escalated means the deadline passed without the rule being satisfied: no option reached a majority, two or more options each cleared a majority ('multiple majorities'), unanimity wasn't reached, or the rule was set to 'creator decides.' Either way you get a timestamped record showing exactly who responded and who didn't.
