What happens after a decision settles?
You can add up to three follow-up actions. Stakeholders voluntarily claim, complete, or flag blockers through the same link they voted on — no extra account needed. When everything's done, Settle generates a Done Card recording the full outcome.
Do stakeholders need an account to vote?
No. Each stakeholder receives a private link and responds in their browser. No account, no app installation, no sign-up required.
What happens if a stakeholder doesn't respond?
Settle sends automated reminders. A missing response only matters if it prevents your chosen decision rule from being met. Under a majority rule, Settle applies the rule when the decision closes — at your deadline, or earlier if you press Settle now — and it settles if more than half of the invited stakeholders approved an option, so one non-responder doesn't block an otherwise clear majority. Under a unanimity rule, every invited stakeholder must respond, so an unanswered invite holds the decision open until the deadline, then escalates back to you.
What is the difference between Settled and Escalated?
Settled means your chosen decision rule was met by the deadline — for example, a majority of invited stakeholders approved an option, or under unanimity everyone approved the same one. Escalated means the deadline passed without the rule being satisfied: no option reached a majority, two or more options each cleared a majority ('multiple majorities'), unanimity wasn't reached, or the rule was set to 'creator decides.' Either way you get a timestamped record of the outcome and how many stakeholders responded, and your dashboard shows who responded and who didn't.
